Position Description

What makes an exceptional Client Executive V within our Billing and Payments Group?

The primary function of a Client Executive is to provide a Billing and Payments Group point of view on renewals and cross sales while presenting a One Fiserv engagement with critical customers where it makes sense between clients and Fiserv. The Client Executive is responsible for meeting goals for revenue, sales and client satisfaction, and orchestrating the deployment of corporate-wide resources to provide comprehensive solutions and services for the strategic client. They will be involved in client service management and customer concerns. They will work with a combination of our shared and largest clients to define and set strategic direction, renewal planning, and functions as an inspiring leader and strategic business partner with client.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will help to develop strategies for client success.

  • Additionally, you will develop a keen understanding of assigned clients that includes their business drivers and strategies, competitive position in the marketplace, industry trends, key strategic partner relationships, as well as key executives and decision makers, etc.

  • Analyze and stay on top of significant market changes (trends, issues, M&A activity and corporate developments) that would be valuable information to the client and that mitigates and handles risk to Fiserv and the client.

  • Build, enhance and execute the long-term client relationships and communication at the C-level, with other key executives, key decision makers and influencers and act as a trusted advisor to senior executives within the client organization.

  • Build cooperation and collaboration with the Fiserv business units to develop account plans for each of your assigned accounts annually with an emphasis on base revenue retention and cross sales (cross BPG and intra-BU cross sales)

  • Coordinate and lead an annual planning session with each of the clients where the focus is on engaging the client in an in-depth conversation and presenting to the client pan-Fiserv capabilities indexed on the bill lifecycle.

  • You will review, interpret and implement contracts and service agreements in the course of maintaining the relationship with the client

  • Additionally you will develop coordinate and lead teams comprised of employees from various areas of the company

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • A bachelor’s degree, or professional certification and equivalent work experience

  • Five plus years of experience in the financial services industry

  • A working knowledge of electronic bill presentment and payments and an understanding of revenue life cycle management

  • Excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills

  • Financial acumen sufficient to convincingly analyze and present return on investment calculations for clients and to analyze and model client revenue/profitability for use in price negotiations and contract renewals

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Strong customer advocacy skills with growing wallet share being the main focus
