Position Description

What does a Quality Assurance Engineer do?

  • Develop and implement automated tests to support new software programs

  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing software

  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the test automation framework.

  • Provide technical leadership to other on-shore and off-shore testers.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as required. These responsibilities may include creation of documentation, project timelines, assignment and monitoring of automation tasks assigned to QA testers and the maintenance of other artifacts needed to support our automation project.

  • Collaborate with multiple scrum teams to ensure the usability and scalability of the automation framework.

  • Perform reporting and analysis on automated test runs.

  • Participate in Code Reviews to ensure we have the required code coverage.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you can look forward to:

You will work as part of an Agile team in developing an integrated technology solution with our Bill Matrix Next Platform. The existing solution allows customers to walk into various retail locations to make their bill payments and this solution is being re-architected and integrated into the Bill Matrix Next platform in order to provided one integrate solution for our customers. You will utilize current technologies to build a software test automation framework that will function across multiple Agile teams. You will be part of a team that is developing cloud enabled solutions utilizing leading edge technologies such as ASP .Net Core 2.x, micro services, Polmer, MVC/Ravor, Visual Studio 2017.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Four-year degree in software engineering, computer science, or computer engineering is required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience writing test automation for both standalone and Web bases applications.

  • Hands-on software development experience should include distributed server solutions with rigorous quality, scalability, robustness, and reliability requirements.

  • Experience with complete software development product life cycle from concept to development, product testing, and final release.

  • Proven experience with Selenium tools.

  • High level of competence with .Net technologies and languages.

  • Good experience with C# in developing or testing web applications.

  • Solid experience with Page Object Model (POM) frameworks.

  • Good social and written interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, highly reciprocal, energetic team using distributed teams is a requirement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Prior experience working in the financial services industry

  • Automation certification

  • Testing applications utilizing cloud technology

  • Testing micro service based applications

  • Utilizing Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • Working on a SaaS based solution.

  • Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager

  • ASP .Net Core

  • API Testing

  • MSTest or NUnit
