The Billing and Payments group (BPG) serves 1000s of financial institutions and corporations providing solutions that enable best-in-class results for our clients. BPG business units provide billing and payment solutions, customer communications solutions, enterprise payment solutions, and other mission critical solutions for financial institutions such as fraud, treasury, lending, cash and logistics. With stable and high growth businesses, BPG is always looking to expand its team of over 6,000 associates and create future leaders.
We are looking to hire a Director of Strategy for the Billing and Payments Group (BPG). This role will report directly to the Vice President, Strategy and have a high degree of visibility to senior management and executives. This position is responsible for leading the planning and development of business strategy and key initiatives for the group businesses. This role will also support the broader leadership team as necessary to ensure the success of priority business initiatives. This role will be responsible for specific tracks of work, primarily focusing on group strategy, individual business unit strategy, product market strategy, M&A strategy and M&A support.
TYPICAL PROJECTS INCLUDE:
Long-range plan (LRP) and Annual Operating plan for each business Unit
Strategic projects including new market analysis, growth strategy, partner strategy, M&A strategy, etc.
Development of business cases for strategic growth initiatives
Sales strategy for specific markets
Market and competitive analysis
Cross-Business Unit strategy collaboration and support
Support BPG leadership to support internal and external strategy presentations (e.g., Annual Investor Day, Board meetings, CEO meetings)
Support mergers and acquisitions within the business group
Support and build models for buy/build/partner analysis and other business development activities as required.
Assist with the definition and tracking of key strategic performance metrics.
Ownership: End-to-end ownership of multiple strategy projects – thought leadership, team leadership, project management, leadership management and communication
Gain knowledge and provide insights on specific businesses and markets
Remain current on industry trends, competitors and best practices
Organize cross-functional, cross-BU teams and drive strategy work
Coach peers in strategy and BU teams
Upward management within and outside of direct team and organization
Project Management - Develop work plans, delivery schedules and organize discussions
Research and Analysis
Conduct research and analysis in evaluation of potential acquisitions, partnerships, investments, licensing and other strategic growth opportunities for the division.
Executive-level oral and written communication skills
Strong ability to handle challenging negotiations between business units and team

At least five years of total experience with minimum three years at a top tier strategy consulting firm and proven experience leading a team on growth strategy projects.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Information Management, or a related field. A master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree required.
Must be a Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint power user.
Banking Technology, FinTech or Payments experience a plus.
