Position Description

WHAT DOES A GREAT DATA ANALYST DO?

Do you enjoy being responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of client/customer data using complex analysis of datasets in areas of research, development, product enhancement or other targeted business objectives? Here you will use advanced mathematical methods to analyze and interpret data from various sources with an outcome to solve critical business needs for internal or external clients. You will ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices, gathering and entering missing data, and resolving any anomalies and use established statistical methods resolving data sources, sample sizes and appropriate methods to create and interpret reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs analysis activities of current data to provide critical information to our internal and/or external clients to help the business become more efficient, more targeted, and more responsive to our clients and/or customers.

  • Collaborates with partners (internal/external clients) and team members at all levels to clarify, detail, and handle reporting needs and activities.

  • Generates client facing and operational performance reports, including critical metrics using six sigma tools

  • Identify, recommend, and assist operation in automating manual operational processes to be measured by a minimum of 10% decrease in manual operations year over year and dedicatedly recommend operational efficiency and performance enhancements based upon data analysis to be measured by a minimum of 10% increase if efficiencies year over year

  • Participates in post-project and “Lessons Learned” for project wrap meeting and document for review and process consideration to recommending the best course of action for continual improvement.

  • Confirm project scoping for internal and external client solutions; communicate effectively to identify options, explain issues, recommend solutions, handle risks, and reduce issues during project design and delivery Design and develop structured and ad-hoc reports for operations analysis using the SSRS reporting environment and SQL Analyze business requirements to design, model, and implement centralized data warehouses utilizing Visual Studio and SQL-T to develop in-depth cost savings analytics

  • Provide solutions that improve business efficiency and enable access to data and total collaboration at the organization level in various formats including MS Office, SharePoint, and Robot Process Automation (RPA)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

Three years of experience as a Reporting or Data Analysis

One year of experience working for a Financial Institution or Software vendor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science

  • One plus years of experience working with robot process automation preferred

  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or ability to become on within 6 months) Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

  • Analytical skills to assess client business need, identify solutions, and manage needs across multiple projects.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation abilities to facilitate participation in requirements gathering and training sessions.

  • Active listening skills to understand what people say and detect what they might be hesitant to say.

  • Strong consultative skills to deal with internal and external clients and facilitate collaboration.

  • Proficiency in understanding and writing complex SQL queries to deliver business intelligence for internal and external clients
