Fiserv Technical Business Analyst, Tech Lead (Mortgage) in Lake Mary, Florida

Position Description

This position can work remotely anywhere in the United States.

About the Role:

You will work with one of the most widely known, cutting edge ECM Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications available today, specifically for our Financial Services clients.

You will play a foundational role, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for our Customers, as well as a key bridge to our Program Management, Product Management and Development teams within the Financial & Risk Management Solutions, ECM line of business. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will serve as the key member of the delivery team. You will also interact with the Sales, Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Go to Market teams and regularly interact with clients and prospects.

We are seeking candidates with strong communication skills that allow for mutual understanding with customers and internal stakeholders in a multicultural environment. This role will require the ability to work outside traditional business hours when necessary to support our customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal stakeholders such as Professional Services, Product Management, Sales, as well as clients, to clearly define and document their requests.

  • Work as the primary interface between the Business and Technology in order to analyze and validate published Business Requirements and turn them into functional solutions.

  • Translate business requirements into specific functional solutions, process flows, data flows, message data mapping, User & System Interface designs, Business Rule definitions, Use Case specifications, software and infrastructure component definition, etc.

  • Collaborate with Systems Architect(s) and SMEs to develop high-level solution designs.

  • Responsible for coordinating the technical solution across several technology teams in a matrix organization.

  • If applicable, interface with third-party vendors during design to ensure coverage of the business needs and compliant integration to meet our requirements.

  • Conduct technical assessments for both new and existing feature sets and recommend solutions and remediation measures.

  • Ensure that the final user documentation effectively conveys the information the client needs.

  • Validate developed software solution to ensure that the completed product matches with the business requirements and operates correctly.

  • Ensuring the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects. Evaluates, develops, and refines process to improve team productivity and efficiency.

  • Participates in usability testing of the product and utilize the implications of the research findings in the design process.

  • Determines the internal stakeholders and user groups such as Product Management, Client Services, Implementations, Operations, and Production Technology and works with them to identify the scope, the goal and tasks the requested changes / customization / system must perform.

  • Analyzes the data gathered to create the Business Requirements, User Requirements, Functional Requirements, and Non-Functional Requirements to enable the design and development of the requested changes / customization / system.

  • Design/Generate usable and effective Wireframes.

  • Ensures that the final documentation accurately reflects the stakeholders negotiated needs and that the resulting changes / customization / system are an accurate reflection of the request to be implemented.

  • Manages the requirements from inception through to post implementation of the system; 1) tracing each requirement back to a specific need and also traced to a function/feature/piece of code in the system being developed and 2) Any changes to requirements during the project lifecycle are reviewed, verified, negotiated, approved and implemented.

  • Determines how to best implement the requested changes / customization / system. This may include working with Development staff, Product Managers, QA staff and / or other Business Analysts.

  • Helps to define Test Plan as well as Tests / Validates developed software solution to ensure that the completed product matches with the business requirements and operates correctly.

  • Assists with diagnosis/troubleshooting of reported problems pertaining to software developed by the Production Technology team

Required Qualifications:

Job Related Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the technology field.

  • Minimum 5 years of business experience within the Mortgage industry or Mortgage Solution Technology.

  • Minimum 3 years experience within a project team attaining exposure to project process, terminology and expectations of timelines.

  • Minimum 3 years experience gathering business requirements

  • Experience with evaluating and then developing / refining process to improve team productivity and efficiency.

  • Knowledge of Relational Databases as well as SQL Server.

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to independently facilitate complex data gathering and design collaboration meetings, as well as code and Design walkthroughs.

  • A thorough and demonstrated understanding of generic project lifecycle management controls.

  • Proven research and analytical skills

  • Maintains outstanding attitude and excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment even in high pressure situations.

  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of product technology in an ever changing and rapidly expanding environment.

  • Excellent leadership, team management, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in technical discipline or finance/accounting.

  • Familiarity with the Fiserv systems.

  • Prior ECM experience .

  • Knowledge of Fiserv products and experience in the financial industry.

  • Experience with Agile development.

Travel Required:

  • Travel will vary with an average of 25%, but up to maximum of 50% during peak times
