What does a great Vice President of Software Development do?
The Vice President of Software Development Differentiators / Services reports directly to the SVP, Development and Technology of Digital Channels. You will be responsible for the Delivery teams in the areas of design, development, testing and automation while ensuring customer success. You will be engaged in top-level involvement with our client base that includes providing a tailored experience across online, mobile and tablet banking channels with a wide range of financial institutions. You will be empowered to drive our delivery of product enhancements with the goal of both maximizing the efficient use of resources and client satisfaction.
The right candidate must be passionate about time to market, quality, agile process and delighting our customers. You will be responsible for the smooth and effective development and deployment of multiple concurrent, complex software projects. You should have a proven track record of growing operating a delivery team through a high energy and dynamic environment.

Drive enhanced agile methodologies for the delivery and implementation of software solutions
Lead the teams to increased productivity and better results within each area of service delivery
Establish clear growth objectives and lead the creation of scalable, client service offerings leveraging your industry expertise
Build and manage the Delivery Team including staffing, training, organizing, and coaching.
Develop team skills, knowledge and capabilities as required
Develop the infrastructure and content of our knowledgebase with the goal of continuously improving the Delivery groups ability to deliver its offering with greater efficiency and customer satisfaction
Work with agile project governance structure to anticipate project risks, resolve issues, consistently meet deadlines and achieve 100% client satisfaction
Collaborate with all functional areas of the business to ensure effective knowledge sharing
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science; advanced degree desirable.
Minimum of ten years of Professional Services and/or Product Development experience in software development with minimum of five years of management experience.
Excellent technical, functional, verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with standard Microsoft applications
Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
Thorough understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., design, development, testing, implementations)

The VP, Software Development for Differentiators / Services must have an unquestionable track record of outstanding leadership and execution while possessing the following experiences and characteristics:
Building Businesses: Demonstrated track-record of growing a business in a complex environment by focusing on development, quality, sales, product delivery and client services.
Change Leadership: A history of personally influencing behavioral and philosophical change among business leaders.
Self-Sufficient: Able to leverage support groups to scale execution but also able to personally develop practical tactical tools and templates when the need arises.
Ownership: Experience and comfort level taking ownership for the full impact a division while having direct responsibility for all aspects of delivery.
Relationship Building: Successfully builds strong working relationships from a geographical distance. Possesses the ability to identify and understand the unique communication styles appropriate for a wide range of clients & internal teams and have been successful building relationships/personal credibility with each respective group.
Detail Orientation: An ability and comfort level processing high volume of work while maintaining an eye for the detail required that eliminates rework.
Agility: Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities, and demanding environments, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
Travel required: 25%
