A Technical Consultant works in a team environment preparing servers for installation at client sites located throughout the country. In this role you will grow your technical abilities while working with AIX, Linux and Windows Server operating systems. You will hone your troubleshooting and training skills while working through projects and cases with clients.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform server installations on-site.

  • Configure servers for use with various Fiserv solutions.

  • Work client cases from inception to resolution while managing client expectations.

  • Place outbound client calls as part of project work.

  • Compose or review technical documentation such as knowledge base solutions, log support activity and draft requests for program changes.

  • Conduct client and peer-to-peer training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted

Job Related Experience:

  • You will have previous experience as a Systems Administrator or working in a help desk technical support role.

  • Experience building, configuring and installing servers in a Unix or Windows environment. Experience with AIX helpful.

  • Knowledge of Virtualization a strong plus.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (internal and client facing)

  • Excellent follow-up skills, attention to detail

Travel Required:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, as needed
