Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, analyze and determine business and technical requirements and provide detailed specifications to programming, working independently and collaboratively with the client and other resources, as needed.

  • Provide consultation to the client before, during and after changes, including the development of new procedures the changes may necessitate.

  • Interpret client’s existing systems and workflows.

  • Provide training to the client before, during and after changes, including the correct use of the Fiserv system and on-line terminal assistance.

  • Communicate progress and any potential problems to manager/project manager for awareness and/or resolution.

  • Maintain the tools used to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the analyst role.

  • Applies standard project management principles including the creation and maintenance of project plans and managing project tasks and resources as they apply to each implementation.

  • Manages multiple clients and adhere to project timelines.

  • Manages client expectations with respect to available product solutions.

  • Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example and experience that is commiserate with that of Business Analyst.

  • Solves problems using standard procedures.

  • Utilizes system and data to resolve business issues in the most effective manner.

  • Analyzes and identifies root cause; providing input to solutions that lead to success for Fiserv and the client.

  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming a collaborative project team.

  • Maintains ownership of all change requests/projects.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Education - BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related business field.

Experience – Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business, healthcare or technical industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within the healthcare industry highly desirable.

  • Project management capabilities.

  • Experience and interaction with client.


Travel Required: As needed <25%.
