As a Managed Services Consultant, Staff level person, you can look forward to:

Working in a team oriented and fast paced work environment. You will be involved in solving problems focused on support for both client facing and internal issues and questions. In this role you will be hands-on with our core product to provide excellent customer service. You will interact with clients, internal staff, and third party vendors at varying levels. Your flexibility is essential as you will sometimes need to work outside of standard business hours for release support or emergencies.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance, information and resolution capabilities through a Help Desk function to 3rd party systems software, computer operations, application programming and network communications personnel, both external and internal.

  • Assist in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems programs.

  • Examine software aborts and apply fix procedures.

  • Log, track and manage all incoming cases professionally through Service Point. Maintaining current notes and provide timely and accurate resolution of client issues, ensuring client satisfaction. Document system defects with detailed analysis and escalate as needed.

  • Work collectively with Operations and IT staff on internal problem resolution and improvements. Liaison between OPS/IT group and clients for questions relating to job schedules, automated processes, task errors, data communication and hosted server responsibilities at the datacenter.

  • Assist with release upgrades. Functions include verification of online systems and client support often times outside of standard business hours.

  • Provide assistance to Project Managers for datacenter related duties.

  • Required on-call / after-hours support - including weekend rotational coverage.

Basic qualifications to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years related experience required.

  • Microsoft Server experience including SQL Server Database Experience (TSQL) and SQL Server Agent (Scheduling) Experience.

  • Proficiency in C, UNIX/AIX, Korn shell and Perl required.

  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, XML, Java, jBoss.

  • Knowledge of basic scripting (DOS batch files, vbscript, etc.).

  • Knowledge of basic network tests (ipconfig, ping, tracert, etc.).

  • Knowledge of FTP and SFTP.

  • Immediate proficiency with Windows based software programs.
