We seek a Sr. Billing Specialist for our Card Services team in Portland, OR.

The Sr. Billing Specialist performs business analysis as it pertains to client data base, researching billing history, posting invoices, preparing and validating billing feeds, performing analysis on client databases to resolve and correct data errors prior to invoicing clients.

As a Sr. Billing Specialist you will:

  • Operate as an internal subject matter expert and resource to others both within and outside the immediate work group for all Card Services billing functions/tasks

  • Handle new client implementations as well as client renewals, directing the data conversions if required and interacting with the client on all questions concerning invoicing and problem resolution

  • Perform a variety of complex bookkeeping duties both manually and on the computer

  • Audit and reconcile client invoices

  • Prepare and verify accounting reports

  • Follow up with clients regarding inquiries

  • Interact with the account management team

What we need from you:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Proficient with Excel and solid computer skills with other MS Office Suite applications

  • 4+ years bookkeeping experience including applied knowledge/application of established bookkeeping and/or accounting procedures

  • Good aptitude with numbers and strong attention to detail

  • Solid demonstrated customer service skills

  • Good communication, organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group environment

  • Demonstrated ability to follow established guidelines to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems with an understanding of when to refer/escalate non-routine matters to the supervisor

  • The ability to work extended hours as needed

It would be great if you also have experience with

  • Advanced Excel expertise
